Public Engagement

Engagement

We are keen to hear from those who have an interest in the Alto project. We wish to build and sustain effective relationships based on mutual respect and trust. Our engagement activities will continue throughout the project. The following principles will guide us.

Accountable

We believe that trust and confidence increases when all parties are clear of their responsibilities and positively engaged in the decisions that affect them.

Locally focused

We are committed to being a good neighbour with the goal of establishing and maintaining positive, long-term relationships with members of the local communities where we are present. We will seek local input and understanding of the region, its people, the environment, and reflect local values and attitudes in communications with stakeholders and community members.

Collaborative and Inclusive

We aim to facilitate the involvement of diverse stakeholders with different views, knowledge levels, time, and accessibility requirements, and preferred method of engagement, in order to drive a shared sense of purpose and direction

Open and responsive

We value dialogue and clear communications. We are committed to providing timely, relevant, and easily understandable information to our stakeholders so they can give input in a meaningful way. We will endeavor, where feasible, to provide timely feedback to stakeholders on how their input has affected our plans and decisions

Innovative

We dare to see things differently and being flexible in the development of mutually-beneficial outcomes.

Trust and Transparency

We are committed to inform and engage community members early and regularly as well as provide opportunities for people to be involved in the engagement process.

Respectful

We respect individual values, recognize the legitimacy of concerns, and value the stakeholder input.
