Collaboration agreements are one part of Alto’s process of engagement with Indigenous communities that may be impacted by the project. They are working documents, created collaboratively, that define how parties will work together, share responsibilities and manage outcomes.
We introduced collaboration agreements to establish clear and respectful ways of working together, ensuring engagement remains a two-way dialogue tailored to each community’s priorities.
Each of our collaborative agreements reflects the priorities of the Indigenous community with which it was developed, including interests related to economic development, sustainability, and legacy benefits. These agreements are not one-size-fits-all. Each is tailored to the partner community and helps define how they can participate across project phases.
Several collaboration agreements have already been signed, with more underway.
