Allan Clarke
Vice-President, Indigenous Relations at Alto
I want to reaffirm the importance of the expertise and perspectives of Indigenous communities, which shape every step of this groundbreaking project. Our commitment to building relationships of trust and respect, grounded in integrity and transparency, remains genuine and unwavering.

Canada is committed to fulfilling its duty to consult and, where appropriate, accommodate Indigenous peoples throughout the project and we will continue to collaborate with Indigenous peoples to build strong and meaningful partnerships and create mutually beneficial socio-economic development opportunities.

Indigenous communities are essential partners, and we are proud to work with them to honor the past while shaping the future of the country’s mobility, where the benefits of this new infrastructure will serve both communities and all Canadians. We are excited for what lies ahead!

An Opportunity to Advance Reconciliation

We will continue to ensure there is involvement at all stages of this project that will ultimately help empower Indigenous communities, create local jobs and foster local economic partnerships.

We are committed to a collaborative approach that creates socio-economic development opportunities beneficial to both Indigenous Peoples and all Canadians. This 1,000 km network will provide  greater mobility between communities and major urban centres, whether for work, study, or healthcare.
